HOW TO BUY JEWELRY ONLINE
What are the four C’s when considering a diamond?
Cut – Cut refers to the proportions of the diamond and the angles at which the diamond’s facets are cut. Every diamond gets maximum brilliance when its facets allow the maximum amount of light to enter through the top facet to be reflected and dispersed back to the top. Cuts are the most important to consider because certain types of cuts sparkle more than others. The best cuts reflect the most light. Color – Referring to the amount of color in a diamond, the most popular diamond color is colorless. A colorless diamond will allow light to pass through and disperse easily. Clarity – Clarity is decided by the amount of organic flaws in a diamond under the view of 10x magnification. As a general rule, the fewer the flaws (inclusions), the more beautiful the diamond. Carat weight– Carat is the weight of the diamond (not to be confused with “karat” with a “k,” which is the unit of measurement for the purity of gold). It’s important to note that two diamonds can be of equal carat weight but be valued extremely differently.

What is the difference between 14K, 18K, and 24K gold?
K (for “karat”) refers to the purity of gold. 24K gold is considered pure gold, while 18K gold contains higher levels of natural gold than 14K. 24K gold, however, is generally too soft to be use in fine jewelry.

Are the diamonds and gemstones you use ethically sourced?
While it’s not always possible to determine where a diamond or gemstone originates, we painstakingly choose our suppliers from the most respected suppliers in the world to assure the materials we use are ethically sourced.

What is the quality of your gemstones?
We craft our jewelry with well cut and polished gemstones of AAA quality. With the exception of emeralds, we guarantee that most gemstones that we use are inclusion-free. In fact, Gemorie.com’s gemstones are certified by the Gemological Institute of America (GIA) and IGI, the world’s most esteemed independent and non-profit laboratories.

WARRANTY
Do you offer warranties?
Yes! Our Gemorie products come with a lifetime warranty.

What does the Lifetime Warranty cover?
Our Lifetime Warranty covers the craftsmanship of our jewelry and excludes the following:
• Lost or chipped stones
• Damages to the piece done by the customer
• Damages that arise due to resizing done by another jeweler
• Other modifications not made by Gemorie

RESIZING AND REPAIRS
Gemorie offers one-time resizing for applicable rings within the first 30 days of delivery to ensure your ring fits comfortably but snugly. Customers need to pay for shipping both ways. Please allow for three to six weeks for resizing (including shipping), depending on the style of ring.

Can I take my jewelry to a local jewelry shop to have it fixed or resized?
Yes, however, please note that any modification to a Gemorie piece after delivery (that’s not made by Gemorie itself) voids the lifetime warranty of the piece. Furthermore, we are unable to accept returns for pieces that were altered by a third party.

HOW TO CARE FOR JEWELRY
How do I care for a gemstones and diamonds?
Even though stones are extremely durable, they are still prone to chipping given the right circumstances. For this reason, we recommend not wearing jewelry with stones while doing rough work, like housecleaning or yard work. To clean your gemstone and diamond jewelry, you can wash your jewelry in a bowl of lukewarm, sudsy water with a little bit of liquid detergent. Brush gently with a soft brush, rinse with warm water, and pat dry with a lint-free cloth.

How do I care for gold jewelry?
Keep your gold jewelry away from cleaning products (bleach, soap, etc.) and personal hygiene products (lotions, perfumes, etc.). To clean your jewelry, you can wash your jewelry in a bowl of lukewarm, sudsy water with a little bit of liquid detergent. Brush gently with a soft brush, rinse with warm water, and pat dry with a lint-free clot
